HYDERABAD:Congress is gearing up for an expansion of the Telangana Cabinet, aiming to include senior leaders who were not part of the initial round of appointments. After the swearing-in of 12 ministers, talks have emerged about filling the remaining Cabinet positions. Sources suggest that more leaders, including some who didn't win in the elections, could join the Cabinet soon.

While some areas like Nizamabad and Adilabad currently lack representation in the Cabinet, senior party figures such as P Sudharshan Reddy (Bodhan), Premsagar Rao (Mancherial), G Vivek (Chennur), and G Vinod (Bellampalli) are expected to be brought in.

The party sources revealed that this expansion is on the horizon and may happen in the upcoming days. It's anticipated that leaders from minority communities will also find a place, possibly through an MLC position.

Rumors are circulating about the inclusion of Md Shabbir Ali and Md Feroz Khan, who contested from Nizamabad Urban and Nampally Assembly segments respectively, pending approval from the high command and chief minister.

There's also talk about the absence of Cabinet representation for Hyderabad, as the party didn’t secure any seats in the district.

Meanwhile, MLA-elects from Nalgonda and Rangareddy districts are hopeful about securing Cabinet positions. Sources mentioned that Malreddy Rangareddy, the victor from Ibrahimpatnam, and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who won from the Munugode seat, are under consideration for inclusion.
