Lucknow: The much-publicized three-day training camp of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the National General Secretary of the Congress Party, has been postponed in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. The camp was to begin on Monday. According to sources, party leaders have been informed about the change in schedule. This has been done in view of the by-elections to be held for 11 assembly seats on 21 October.

This training camp was designed to introduce new committee members to the party's program in view of the 2022 assembly elections. Now, this training camp is expected to be organized on 22 October, although the new date is yet to be confirmed. During the workshop, the heads of the Congress Training Cell and the Social Media Cell have been asked to address the participants and answer their questions.

During the camp, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi is also expected to visit Rae Bareli and meet new members of the party. A senior party leader has said, "New people have joined the new Congress team in Uttar Pradesh and they should know the ideology and functioning of the party. Senior leaders have to teach them how to deal with political situations."
