New Delhi: The Congress has been in a circle amid reports of a clash between India and Chinese troops over the Line of Mutual Control (LAC). Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter, "China's meddling in the Indian border is increasing, but Mr. 56 has not used the word 'China' for months. He may start with saying the word China" congress national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala tweeted, asking the Modi government to clarify the situation.
"Modiji, your mysterious silence about Chinese encroachment and infiltration in the country's border is boosting the enemy," Surjewala tweeted from his official Twitter handle. Don't be afraid of China, the whole country will fight firmly. Clearly, what are the circumstances? National security is not a game of hide-and-seek, things are serious. Take the country into confidence." On January 20, 2021, there was an incident of conflict between indian and Chinese troops in the Nakula region of LAC.
The Chinese army in Nakula, Sikkim, is said to have tried to change the status quo of the border. The Chinese soldiers were also trying to enter the Indian border. In the meantime, the Indian jawans gave a befitting reply and prevented them from doing so. Four Indian jawans and 20 Chinese jawans were injured in the clashes.
