Lucknow: Congress has released the fourth list of 61 candidates for the UP assembly elections. In this list, Congress gave tickets to 24 women candidates. Congress gave tickets to 50 women in the first list of 125 candidates. In the second list of 41 candidates, 16 women candidates were given tickets. In addition, 37 women were given tickets in the third list. The Congress has now given tickets to 24 women candidates in its fourth list.

The same Congress has given tickets to Shikha Pandey from Bilaspur, Chandni from Sri Nagar, Jitendra Devi from Dhaurahra, Vandana Bhargava from Biswan, Sudha Dwivedi from Sarani, Shakuntala Devi from Kaimganj, Archana Rathore from Bhojpur, Vinita Devi from Kannauj, Karishma Thakur from Govindnagar. Rajkumari from Hamirpur, Pawan Devi Kori from Narayani, Hemlata Patel from Ayah Shah, Rita Maurya from Ayodhya, Geeta Singh from Kaiserganj, Savita Pandey from Tarabganj, Kamla Sisodia from Mankapur, Sabiha Khatoon from Khalilabad, Dulari Devi from Salempur, Dr Omlata from Rasara, Sonam Bind from Bairia, Aarti Singh from Badlapur, Geeta Devi from Marihan, Videshwari Singh Rathore from Ghorawal have got tickets. Congress has decided to give tickets to 40 per cent of women this time. 

On Wednesday, Congress released the third list of its 89 candidates. There were 37 women candidates in the third list. According to the third list of the Congress, Poonam Kamboj from Behat, Akbari Begum from Bijnor, Baladevi Saini from Noorpur and Saroj Devi from Hathras have been given tickets. Apart from these, many more women have also been nominated.
