Guwahati: The war of words between the Assam CM and the Congress has started regarding Youth Congress President Srinivas Biwi. Angkita Dutta, former head of the Assam Youth Congress, has given a complaint of harassment against Srinivas. In this case, the Assam Police has now issued a notice to Srinivas to appear on May 2.

Congress alleges that CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wants to arrest Srinivas' wife. Now Chief Minister Sarma has given a befitting reply to the allegations of Congress and said that women are not safe in Congress, for this it is wrong for the party to curse me. In fact, Congress national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala had said about Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma that sometimes Himanta, Pawan Kheda and sometimes Srinivas want to arrest the wife and send her to jail.

Surjewala also said that CM Himanta Biswa Sarma even went ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He is doing all this to stay in the news. He was once afraid of arrest in Sharda scam and Louis Burger scam, so he joined BJP. On this statement of Surjewala, CM Sarma has tweeted that the police is working according to the law. Police is investigating against the accused under section 354. She said that there is a lack of safe environment for women in the Congress. It is wrong to curse me for this. The accused should cooperate with the law.
