The main opposition party Congress has opened a front against the BJP. Today, Bhopal Mahila Congress protested against Jardan Mishra, MP from Lok Sabha seat from Rewa and burnt his effigy.

Santosh Kansana, District President of Mahila Congress unit, surrounded BJP MP Janardan Mishra and said that BJP's words and actions are coming in front of people. These BJP people talk of respect, but insult women. This government does not open a temple but a liquor. He exhorted the state CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan that the Chief Minister should rein in his MP.

BJP MP from Rewa Lok Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh, Jardanan Mishra, gave objectionable statement in the past. He had said that when women can drink liquor, why can't they sell liquor, Rewa's women are the biggest drinkers. Since his statement, the Congress has been continuously attacking the BJP. However, Janardhana Mishra has not given any statement on the matter.
