New Delhi: The Congress has not been able to get a tough deal in the Lok Sabha so far. Rahul Gandhi's resignation made the case more serious. The party's command has once gone into The Hands of Sonia Gandhi after a lot of upheavals. Congress is going to have a programme led by Rajiv Gandhi on 20th of August. It is also being seen as a preparation for the Assembly elections in Haryana and Delhi. To make the programme a success, the party has thrown up all its might.

A meeting of senior party functionaries is also being held at the Delhi State Office on Saturday. Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi is also expected to attend the meeting. According to Congress sources, Sonia Gandhi will try to regroup the party once again through the programme.

At present, the organisation in both Haryana and Delhi is at a high point of time. In Delhi, where the party's activities have been paralysed after the demise of Sheila Dikshit, the party's performance in Haryana is being affected by the tension between the leaders. The party fears that it may have an impact on the upcoming election results. That is why Sonia Gandhi herself has decided to take command of the party's propaganda in these states. With Sonia Gandhi coming forward, the factionalism of party leaders is likely to come to a complete halt.
