New Delhi: On the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi's 75th birth year, Congress organised an event. The event was held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. All the senior leaders who worked with former PM Rajiv Gandhi at the event were waiting for Thursday to share with the former PM. The Congress leadership had handed over the command of the young leaders to the programme which was woven to remember Rajiv Gandhi.

In fact, the Congress leadership has given a clear indication from the programme that the role of youth is going to be crucial in the future. Senior party leaders who were happy after Sonia Gandhi's hand came to command must have been disappointed by the group of youngsters who had taken to the stage. The four young leaders who were given the opportunity to speak on Rajiv Gandhi's policy and thinking at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium were all children at that time.

However, the four leaders have a background in the NSUI and Youth Congress. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi was behind the preparations for the entire programme. Ahead of the Congress President's address, four young leaders from Madhya Pradesh, Meenakshi Natarajan from Madhya Pradesh, MP Gaurav Gogoi from Northeast, former Youth Congress President Raja Barar from Punjab and Krishna Baregowda from Karnataka were given the opportunity to speak. It shows the future policy of the Congress for the youth.
