New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Srinagar on Saturday. According to sources, he is also expected to be accompanied by nine other leaders of opposition parties. However, there is doubt on whether he will be able to reach Srinagar. Right now, the Jammu and Kashmir Police is not allowing any top leader to enter Jammu and Kashmir. A few days ago, when Congress MP and leader in the Rajya Sabha, opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad reached Jammu airport, he was also deported back to Delhi.

On Rahul Gandhi's visit, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has asked all leaders to refrain from visiting Srinagar now. They can also cause problems for people here. There are still some restrictions in many areas. Other opposition parties, including the Congress, have been continuously demanding a visit to Kashmir, but the administration has not allowed them so far.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi himself has objected to it. They are demanding the release of top Jammu and Kashmir leaders Omar Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti. Since the removal of Sections 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiri leaders have been under the auquities of the government. Now all the opposition parties are demanding their release.
