New Delhi: Amid rising prices of essential commodities and petroleum products, the Congress has decided to launch its Jan Jagran Abhiyan from November 14, the birth anniversary of the country's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru, which will continue till November 29. In this regard, The National General Secretary of the Congress, K.C. Venugopal asked all states and Union Territories to urge PCC to organize public awareness and connectivity programmes from November 14 to 29.

CWC discussed in its meeting on October 16 and decided to organize a mass movement, awareness programme called 'Jan Jagran Abhiyan' across the country against price rise between November 14-29. In the public awareness interaction programme, party workers will reach out to as many people as possible and create awareness about poor functioning of the economy by the Central Government and resultant price rise.

During the two-week 'Jan Jagran Abhiyan', all the top functionaries of the State, District, Block Committees, all leading organizations, departments and cells will undertake a long walk to touch each polling station. There will be no public meetings but small group meetings to interact with the general public.
