'Congress Working Committee' will meet on Monday, likely to discuss key issues

New Delhi: Today, the meeting of Congress Working Committee (CEC) to be held in order to extend the deadline of the organisational elections of the party, which were earlier scheduled to be end by 31st December. Also, it is possible that the tenure of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who seized the record of being the Congress chief for 18 consecutive years, will be further extended by another year.

As per the agenda circulated to CWC members, “the meeting will discuss the political situation in the country and organisational matters. It is also expected to discuss the strategy for the winter session of Parliament that begins on November 16.”

In the meeting, discussion will be held regarding the political situation and the upcoming assembly elections and parliament session in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
