New Delhi: Positive results came from the high-level ministerial and government agency meeting in Pakistan regarding the entry of the national team in the World Cup.

The committee, which was presided over by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, expressed hope that the security that Babar Azam's team experienced during their 2016 tour of India for the Twenty20 World Cup would be maintained. In the upcoming weeks, a security delegation is scheduled to travel to the anticipated locations.

According to trustworthy sources in Pakistan, the committee has instructed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to formally communicate with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding security concerns and the reconnaissance team's impending visit.

Despite ongoing hostilities between the two nations, the consensus at the meeting tended to support the team's trip to India while emphasizing the separation of politics and sport. Soon, we can anticipate a formal statement from the foreign ministry.

The government requested recommendations from the committee, which was formed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, regarding the team's participation in the World Cup, which will take place from October 5 to November 19.

Participants included Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Pakistan's advisor Qamar Zaman Qaira, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar in addition to Foreign Minister Bhutto Zardari. It was also reported that representatives from various security organizations were present.

The locations of Pakistan's games are Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata. The Netherlands will be their opponent in Hyderabad for their opening game, and India will be their opponent in Ahmedabad, most likely on October 14.

The semifinal locations have been chosen as Mumbai and Kolkata. The Pakistani team's match would take place at Kolkata's Eden Gardens if they advanced to the final four stage.

This choice is accompanied by preventative measures designed to ensure the team's safe departure from Mumbai, where potential difficulties for the Pakistani team are anticipated.
