New Delhi: The central government is going to take big steps to protect the interests of consumers. The government is going to launch a mobile app to listen to their complaints and suggestions. Union Minister of Consumer Affairs and Food, Ram Vilas Paswan has made an announcement in this regard. Now consumers can make their complaints directly to Union Minister Paswan. Every kind of information related to consumer interests will also be found on this app. A quick resolution of many complaints can be achieved in one place through the app.

42 major sectors have been identified, including consumer durables, electronic products, e-commerce, banking, insurance, whose complaints can be lodged. After the app launch, Paswan said that complaints of 250 to 300 different departments can be filed here. Complaints received from the app will reach the Consumer Minister and the Secretary.

He informed that complaints will be disposed off normally within 15 to 20 days. Any complaint will be heard within 60 days. In some complaints, the Minister and the Secretary can give direct instructions for action, while some complaints will be sent to the concerned departments.
