Bangalore: After the national capital Delhi and Maharashtra, corona is also spreading rapidly in south Indian states. That is why corona cases in Karnataka have increased by 241 per cent in the last one week. 1187 new corona cases have been registered in the state on 09.09.2017. The state health department has said that the total number of active cases in the state has now gone up to 10,292, out of which 8,671 are in Bengaluru district alone. A Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) met on Sunday to analyse the current corona situation in the province. According to media reports, the committee members have suggested that it should be ensured that corona guidelines are followed properly in public places. This includes malls, wedding halls, etc.
More restrictions are expected to increase in Karnataka in the coming days as the government is considering announcing some stringent rules before January 7. Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashok said this on Sunday. A night curfew was imposed in view of the celebrations that lasted until January 7 on New Year's Day. The minister further said that the ban will be imposed in the state only as the corona case escalates.
