In his statement, Dr VK Paul said that the real impact of the lockdown was seen after April 6. Those who had been infected with the coronavirus before the lockdown on March 24 took seven to 14 days to develop their symptoms and due to this, the number of corona patients doubled in the second week of lockdown between March 31 and April 6. The speed increased from 5.2 days to 4.2 days. After the impact of the lockdown, the pace of doubling of the corona case reached six days in the second week of April 7 to 13 and 8.6 days in the fourth week of April 14 to 20.

Although the government did not officially release this figure, a senior official said that it is taking 10 days to double the number of corona patients if they look at the figure between April 16 and April 23. If between the last three days i.e. 21 April to 23 April, the pace has reduced further and reached more than 14 days, which is a good sign.
