Panaji: In view of the new variant Omicron of Ko Rona, many types of restrictions have been imposed or are being imposed in most of the states and union territories of the country. In Goa also, new guidelines have been issued for the people coming to the state. Amidst the Omicron crisis, Goa CM Pramod Sawant said on Wednesday that every person will have to show either a negative report of corona test or a certificate of complete vaccination to join parties or enter restaurants in the state.

Goa CM Pramod Sawant told reporters that a detailed order in this regard will be issued by the state government. Significantly, so far many states have again imposed night curfew amid the Omicron threat. However, the Goa government has not yet taken any such decision so that the tourism business should not be affected between the festive season of Christmas-New Year.

Goa CM has assured that his government is constantly monitoring the situation of corona virus in the state and will take precautionary measures, if required, during the task force meeting to be held on January 3. Meanwhile, people related to the tourism industry said that ahead of the New Year celebrations, Goa hotels currently have around 90 per cent people, while the beaches are already overcrowded.
