Ranchi: COVID19 patient has committed suicide in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The patient was undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center in Ranchi RIMS. The incident has been confirmed by the police station in-charge of Bariatu police station. He says that a patient living in Garhwa hanged himself this morning. The cause of suicide has not been known yet. In Jharkhand, 955 new COVID19 patients have been reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of infected has reached 28196. With the death of 6 infected, the figure has reached 297. 18372 infected have returned to their homes after recovery. At present, a total of 9527 active cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the state.

Prior to this, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) president and Rajya Sabha member Shibu Soren and his wife Rupi Soren have been infected with COVID. Both have been isolated. Earlier, the Corona report of 17 staff and security personnel posted at the house of former CM Shibu Soren were found infected.

After which the Covid-19 test of Shibu Soren and his wife Rupi Soren was conducted, in which both of them coronavirus positive. Shibu Soren is 76 years old. Shibu Soren's son and CM Hemant Soren is going to have the corona test again on Monday, 24 August.
