The government has removed the allocation of beds from the Integrated covid Command Center and the obligation of the slip of the District Administration or CMO to recruit covid patients. Considering the high number of infected patients, it has been decided that patients are being admitted directly to the private covid Hospital on the basis of positive reports. These hospitals will reserve only 10 percent of the beds category-wise, on which patients are to be admitted through the Control and Command Center.

Details of patients to be uploaded: An order issued by Additional Chief Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad on Thursday said that the details of the admitted patients will have to be updated immediately by the private hospital on the Uttar Pradesh government portal. Patients will be free to go to a private hospital at their convenience. If he demands an ambulance from the Integrated Covid Command Centre, ambulances will be provided immediately on the basis of the letter of hospitalization in the concerned private hospital. The dedicated WhatsApp number is going to be made public for this purpose. The health ministry officials are regularly inspecting the private hospital to monitor the arrangements laid down by the government.

On the other hand, the system for government hospitals, government and private medical colleges is going to be different. The admission of covid patients in hospitals, government and private medical colleges of the Ministry of Health is to be done through an integrated covid command centre. 70 percent of beds will be reserved for the process, while the remaining 30 per cent are to be admitted to the hospital on a contingency basis. It will also be mandatory to accept the admission slip issued by the district administration through the command centre for the concerned hospital. There will be a legal inquiry if it is violated. It has been ordered that an officer from rotation will also be posted by the Ministry of Medical Education at The Covid Command Centre, who will coordinate with all medical colleges.
