In Uttar Pradesh, another life has been lost on Saturday in the third wave of corona infection in the Azamgarh district. An elderly woman admitted to a government medical college breathed her last on Saturday morning. The medical college administration had packed the body in a bag and handed it over to the family members for cremation under the Covid protocol.
Dr Niaz Hassan, corona nodal of the medical college, said that a 60-year-old woman from Mohammadabad Kotwali area of Mau district was admitted to the Government Medical College on Friday. Her condition was very critical. The treatment of the woman was also started by admitting her to a medical college. The woman succumbed to her injuries amid treatment at 9.30 am on Saturday.
This is the fourth death in the district and the third in the Government Medical College under the third wave. Earlier, one woman from Kandharapur and Mehnagar areas succumbed to her injuries in the medical college while another died amidst home isolation in the Jahanaganj police station area.
