Jaipur: Covaxin and Covishield vaccine used under corona vaccination in Rajasthan has reached the vaccine stores in Jaipur and Udaipur by air on Wednesday. The first phase of corona vaccination in the state will commence from 16th January. It will vaccinate the health workers working in government and private institutions in the medical sector.

Dr Raghu Sharma, Minister of Medical and Health has informed that 1000 doses of Covaxin manufactured by Bharat Biotech Limited have been received. According to 20 doses per voice, a total of 20,000 doses and a total of 5 lakh 63 thousand 500 doses of vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India, including 4, 43000 doses and 1, 00500 doses, have been received by the State. These have been secured and retained in accordance with the entire safety and technical parameters. He said that the state has the capacity to protect more than three crore doses.

Dr Sharma further said that all preparations and necessary arrangements for corona vaccination have been completed in the state. Vaccination management is also being reviewed at CM level. He said, as per the guidelines prescribed by the Union Health Ministry, vaccination will be done for those registered with the Co-WIN software.
