Corona vaccine to get Rs 200! Serum Institute unveils price

New Delhi: The Pune-based Serum Institute, which manufactures Oxford University's coronavirus vaccine Covishield, has announced the price of the vaccine. The Institute, while briefing on Monday, said that the price of Covishield will be Rs 200 per voile. The Institute has also been ordered to procure vaccines on behalf of the Government of India.

It is noteworthy that preparations are on in the country over the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus global epidemic. Cool-X Cold Chain Limited has been fully prepared to reach the vaccines from the Indian Institute of Serum at Pune, Maharashtra to every nook and corner of the country. Vehicles are also fully geared up to carry vaccines. The covid-19 vaccination campaign is going to start in India from 16th January. The decision was taken by PM Narendra Modi at a high-level meeting on Saturday after inspecting the preparedness of the States and union territories in view of the prevailing corona epidemic situation and vaccination in the country.

The vaccine will reach most of the states including New Delhi by Thursday. In most of the states, the vaccine of serum Institute will be available. 80 percent of vaccines from Pune will be sent through flights and special aircraft.
