The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has sent a guideline in this regard to the states including the state. According to the center, this chemical adversely affects the body both physically and mentally.

Let us tell you that many questions were being asked on the help desk of the Central Government regarding full body sanitization. After a research on this, the Director General of Health Services (EMR Division) has released a new guideline. This four-point guideline states that sodium hypochloride is used in sanitization, which is not intended for use on the body. It should not be sprayed on people. Let us tell you that the corporation has arranged for body sanitization in smart city offices, hospitals, police lines and many public places. At the same time, corporation employees engaged in sanitation work are also facing its side effects. Eye problems have become common for most.

For information, let us tell you that sodium hypochlorite chemical can only be used for purification of equipment and items. The risk of skin and eye diseases in the body is manifold due to its spraying. Mere burning in the air after spraying also causes eye irritation. There is also irritation on contact with the skin. Vomiting, stomach, nose and throat related diseases, allergies, and mental factors have been reported on the spray of this chemical in the report.
