New Delhi: While the outbreak of corona infection continues in the world, on the other hand, the new strain of coronavirus is also spreading rapidly. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, the new strain of coronavirus has spread to 86 countries. The WHO stated that the Corona variant B.1.1.7 has so far spread to 86 countries. This strain was first found in Britain on 20 September.

The WHO has stated that this new strain of coronavirus is spreading rapidly. Based on initial findings, there has been a steady increase in the severity of the disease. The WHO has reported cases of new corona strains in six more countries as of February 7. WHO has said that, for example, in Britain, sample tests of new strains have increased from 63% in the week of 14 December to 90% in the week of 18 January.

The WHO is also monitoring two additional corona strains, which are actively spreading. This E1.351 strain was initially spotted in South Africa and the P.1 strain was first found in Brazil. WHO stated that, as of 7 February, E1.351 strains have been confirmed to be found in 44 countries, while P1 strains have been found in 15 countries.
