As if covid-19 epidemic has caused a break in the sports world. The big tournament like Olympics, US Open postponed for the first time after World War II, then IPL 2020 was postponed indefinitely. This year, World T20 is also to be played in Australia, in such a situation, the fans are afraid that the fun of this big event will not get gritty. The ICC statement on the future of the T20 World Cup was released on Friday. The International Cricket Council (ICC) said that it is not in a hurry to take a decision on the T20 World Cup and is exploring all options under its Comprehensive Emergency Plan. The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held from October 18 to November 15, but due to this global crisis, all sports competitions are either postponed or canceled, due to which there is uncertainty over the event of this tournament.

Australia has sealed its borders and banned travel to avoid this disease. There is speculation that the T20 World Cup may be postponed to next year or it will be held in an empty stadium. ICC spokesperson told 'Skysport', "We are continuing our plans for the ICC tournaments, but we are also making a comprehensive emergency plan to give the situation arising rapidly." The T20 World Cup is still six months away and the ICC said, 'It has to explore all available options based on the conditions arising related to Kovid-19. All decisions will be taken only in consultation with stakeholders including the Australian Government. The advice of experts and officials will also be considered.

Former captain Ellen Borden and star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell have already ruled out the possibility of holding the tournament without an audience while former batsman Simon Katich and wicket-keeper batsman Alex Carry feel the only option left is to postpone it.
