On Tuesday, Union Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy requested the people to follow the orders issued by the government to stop the spread of the coronavirus, as the disease is now spreading to the families of those who have returned from abroad. He said that this is a bigger fight than World War.
Talking to the media on this matter, Kishan Reddy said, "Only those who have returned from abroad were infected with this virus. Now it is spreading among his family members. Therefore, we need to take precautions. People should not take this disease lightly and should not violate the restrictions imposed for social distancing. He said that people should take this deadly disease seriously and take maximum precautions because even developed countries like America are not able to stop the spread of this disease despite the best resources and technology.
In his statement, the Minister of State for Home said that about 15.24 lakh people were screened at various airports. About 69,436 people have been advised to stay in quarantine at home and are being treated by medical and para-medical authorities.
