Kanpur: The fear of corona epidemic is not only in humans, but the animals coming under the influence of its infection has started harassing the zoo administration. The zoo administration has stepped up sanitation work to protect the wildlife from getting caught in the corona. Spraying of antifungal drugs is being done inside and outside animal enclosures.

Sanitation work is going on regularly in animal enclosures, which are monitored by CCTV cameras. The zoo's wildlife doctor in-charge says that before the animals enter the fence, the kippers are washed and sanitized. Only then are they allowed inside. The keeper of one fence is not allowed to enter the other. People living around the zoo also say that they feel safe due to this alertness of the administration.
