Moscow: The United Kingdom (UK) may have cleared the Corona vaccine, but Russia has begun distributing Sputnik v covid-19 through 70 clinics on Saturday. Moscow's Corona Virus Task Force said that Russia's first mass vaccination against Corona disease has been initiated.
The task force said the Russian-made vaccine would first be applied to physicians and other medical workers, teachers and social workers, as they were at the highest risk of exposure to the disease. 7,993 new cases occurred overnight in Moscow, Russia due to the coronavirus havoc, up from 6,868 a day earlier and significantly higher than the 700 cases seen in early September.
Those receiving the vaccine dose are 60 years old. In view of certain health conditions, pregnant women and those who have respiratory disease for the last two weeks have been stopped from vaccination. Russia has developed two Corona vaccines, Sputnik V created by the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the other by the Vector Institute of Siberia, both of which have not yet completed the final trial.
