New Delhi: Corona continues to wreak havoc on Delhi Police. On the first day of the New Year, 1700 Delhi Police personnel have been found corona positive from January 1 to January 12. Earlier on Monday, Delhi Police had reported that 1000 personnel had been hit by corona. Delhi Police sources said senior officials are focusing on virtual meetings instead of physical meetings.

According to sources, delhi police headquarters has instructed the policemen found infected to stay in home isolation. A separate desk has been set up at delhi police headquarters. Details related to the health of the policemen are being updated at this desk. Delhi has registered 21,259 new cases in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the capital is currently 25.65 per cent.

Delhi's positivity rate was recorded at 26.36 per cent on May 5 last year. Delhi now has 71,881 active cases with 21,259 new cases. A total of 15,90,155 corona cases have been registered in Delhi so far. 23 patients have died in the last 24 hours. So far, 25,200 people have lost their lives due to the corona virus.
