Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has decided to withdraw its name from the US Open tennis tournament to be held this month due to concerns over Covid-19. The US Open is scheduled to be held on 31st of this month but due to the high impact of Covid in the US and its tough protocol, many players are reluctant to participate in this tournament.

Kyrgios posted the video on Twitter and said, 'I am not going to play in the US Open this year. I am very sad. But for the citizens of Australia and thousands of American people who lost their lives due to Covid, I am moving away from it.' Before Kyrgios, world number one female player Australia's Ashley Barty and China's top female player Wang Qiang also decided to withdraw from the US Open.

A few days after Barty's decision to pull out of the US Open, former Olympic champion and 3-time Grand Slam winner UK tennis player Andy Murray said that some more big players are about to withdraw from the tournament. It is worth mentioning that Corona has the highest effect in America and 45 lakh people have been affected by this epidemic so far, while more than 150,000 people have lost their lives.
