Now a team of doctors, nurses from Kerala has been sent to Maharashtra. Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Issac has given this information by tweeting that in his tweet, "A 100-member medical team of doctors and nurses from Kerala has reached Mumbai to fight against the coronavirus."

In his statement, he said that the advance team had reached the Hills Hospital earlier. On the request of the Maharashtra government, a medical team has been sent here to help fight the corona. On May 25, the Maharashtra Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) wrote a letter to the Kerala government requesting it to send the medical team.

DMER Dr. TP Lahane told ANI, "The cases of COVID-19 are continuously increasing and it has put tremendous pressure on the health infrastructure of the state especially in the matter of shortage of manpower. " So far 65,168 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Maharashtra out of which 34,890 are active cases. 28,081 people have been cured while 2,197 people have died from the virus in the state.
