25 arrested for pasting posters criticizing PM Modi

New Delhi: Delhi Police has registered 25 FIRs and detained 25 persons in connection with the pasting of posters allegedly criticizing PM Narendra Modi in connection with the anti-corona vaccination drive. Officials said on Saturday that the posters were put up in several parts of the city. It read, 'Why did Modi ji send our children's vaccine abroad?'

He said that on Thursday, the police received a letter about the posters after which senior officers were alerted. Based on the complaints, Delhi Police registered 25 FIRs in various cities under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code relating to disobeying the order issued by the public servant.

The same senior police officer said, "If more complaints are received in this regard, an FIR can be lodged. At present, investigations are on to ascertain who spoke and these posters were put up at all places in the city and further action will be taken in the matter accordingly". Police said three primary ones were registered in North East Delhi and two persons have been taken into custody from there. Three FIRs were registered in West Delhi and five persons were taken into custody from there while three FIRs were registered in outer Delhi and three persons were arrested from there.
