On one hand, in all countries of the world, due to the deaths due to coronavirus, there is a situation of traumas, on the other hand, terrorist groups are taking advantage of it. According to information received from the media, the operatives of terrorist groups who were locked up in jails for fear of FATF action have now been released citing the risk of coronavirus. Pakistan had put these dreaded terrorists in jail to avoid being blacklisted by the FATF.

According to media reports, these terrorists, including Lashkar chief Hafiz Saeed, are now living comfortably in their homes and plotting terror attacks. Let us know that last month, the Chief Minister of Punjab province had tweeted that about 50 prisoners of Lahore jail were found infected with Corona. These circumstances acted as an antibiotic for the release of Pakistani terrorists. It is known that FATF has currently placed Pakistan in the gray list without giving any relief.

Apart from this, FATF has a review meeting on the issue of funding of terrorist groups next month. In such a situation when terrorists in Pakistan are being released instead of nudging them and on the ground the terror situation is making a dangerous gesture, it will have to be seen that what the FATF now takes the stand against Pakistan. It should also be seen that when the focus of the international community is on the corona, Pakistan has given freedom to the terrorists by taking advantage of it.
