A record 1,057 new cases were reported in Gujarat on Saturday. The rising cases of infection in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu have made the worsening situation in the country more serious. According to the latest data released by the Union Health Ministry, 3,970 new cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours while 103 people died due to infection. The number of infected in the country has gone up to 85,940 whereas 2,752 people have died so far. However, more than 30 thousand people have also become healthy.

Out of 103 people who died on Saturday, 67 in Maharashtra, 19 in Gujarat, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, 7 in Bengal, 6 in Delhi, 5 in Madhya Pradesh, 3 in Tamil Nadu, 2 in Punjab And one death each is included in Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh.
