Corona havoc eases in northern India, relief in COVID curfew soon

The second wave of covid infection in India seems to be slowing down, but the crisis still persists. The Covid infection has broken down into a disaster in the country, causing about 2.23 lakh people have lost their lives. It is a matter of relief that many big cities and States, including the national capital, have seen a decline in the daily cases. Several states including Delhi, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand are brainstorming on relaxation in lockdown.

Out of the total cases of infection, about 60 per cent are coming from only 4 States. Maharashtra is still at the forefront with 20295 cases. Karnataka, Kerala and Taminadu are ranked second, third and fourth respectively. More than 20,000 covid infection cases are also coming up daily in Karnataka and Kerala.

Corona's breaking chain from these states: It has been revealed that 956 new cases of infection have been reported in the national capital, Delhi, the lowest in nearly two months. The transition rate has come down to 1.19 per cent. Madhya Pradesh has witnessed 1,640 new cases of infection from Covid on Saturday. Bihar is witnessing a steady decline in new cases of corona virus infection. In the last 24 hours, 1491 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported and 48 more patients have lost their lives. In Jharkhand, 687 new cases of corona virus were reported in the last 24 hours.

Know where the restrictions have been extended: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Goa have announced to extend lockdown or other restrictions from Monday to a fortnight from next one week in view of the corona virus situation. The Puducherry government has decided to extend the lockdown in the Union Territory till June 7. Tamil Nadu has already extended the lockdown till June 7.
