The number of COVID-19 cases in the country has crossed 67 lakh. Within 24 hours, 72 thousand 49 new cases COVID-19 were reported. After which the figure of total infections has gone up to 67 lakh 57 thousand 132. 986 persons died on Tuesday. So far, 1 lakh 4 thousand 555 patients have died due to infection. The relief is that 57 lakh 44 thousand 694 persons have recovered from COVID-19 so far. On Tuesday, 81 thousand 945 persons went to their homes. Now, 9 lakh 7 thousand 883 patients are undergoing treatment.

The Union Health Ministry informed that 48% of people have died in 25 cities in 8 states in India so far. The central government has asked all the States to try to reduce the death rate. There are 10 states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu where there are 77% of the total active cases. There are also 3 states where there are 50% active cases. Active cases have been decreasing continuously for the last two weeks. 

Out of 35 states and union territories in the country, 27 states have a high number of people who recovered from COVID19 as compared to new patients. The number of patients in Rajasthan, Assam, Kerala, West Bengal, Manipur, Meghalaya, Ladakh, and Andaman and Nicobar were high. In Maharashtra, 12 thousand 158 new cases reported on Tuesday, 17 thousand 141 persons recovered and 370 patients died. So far 14 lakh 65 thousand 911 persons have been found positive for coronavirus. Of these, 11 lakh 79 thousand 726 persons have recovered while 38 thousand 717 patients have died. 2 lakh 37 thousand 23 patients are still undergoing treatment. Corona cases in the country are continuously increasing.
