CHANDIGARH: Increasing corona in the country has caught pace, every day one gets to hear some new case. Everyday people from all over the country are getting infected due to the virus. In Punjab, there has been a fourth death due to coronavirus infection. A 65-year-old elderly patient found in Nayagaon died on Tuesday morning. His report came positive on Monday. UT Advisor Manoj Parida has informed by tweeting that the corona infected person of Nayagaon died at PGI at 11:35 am today. The elderly PGI was admitted in Chandigarh. Therefore, as soon as corona was confirmed in it, it could go from PGI to GMSH administration in Chandigarh Sector-16, because the elderly did not show the symptoms of corona earlier and his treatment was going on normally.

According to the information received, after the confirmation of Corona, in a hurry, the PGI administration has quarantined the staff who came in contact with the patient. These include 5 doctors, 22 nursing staff, 5 sanitation attendants and 4 hospital attendants. Two emergency medical officers, a radiographer and a staff nurse have also been quarantined, including five doctors of the medicine department of GMSH.
