Lab will be set up at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP) Dehradun to investigate the deadly corona virus. At the same time, the cabinet has approved it. Along with this, the Central Government has approved medical college Haldwani for a sample investigation to check the corona virus in the state. Apart from this, corona samples can not be tested in private nor any other government hospitals lab.

For your information, let us tell you that due to increasing cases of corona infection in the state, samples are being sent by the Health Department for daily investigation, but the test report of the samples is taking four to five days. To expedite the investigation process, AIIMS has approved setting up of a lab at Rishikesh, IIP. Along with this, a proposal has been sent to the Central Government for sample testing facility at Mahant Indresh Hospital, Ahuja Pathology Lab.

The test report of the samples coming in four to five days, the Health Department may not have to wait for the report by authorizing the new lab for sample examination in the state. The Health Department has so far sent more than two hundred samples of corona virus for examination. There have been reports of 162 samples in it. Apart from this, four cases were found positive and 158 negative. Along with this, the investigation report of the remaining samples is yet to come from the medical college Haldwani. At the same time, in view of the delay in getting the reports of samples, the government has approved to set up new labs in the state.
