Dehradun: Due to Corona, all the festivals of the country have been eclipsed. Meanwhile, looking at Eid and Rakshabandhan, there will be no lockdown on Saturday and Sunday in the four plains cities of Uttarakhand, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, and Udham Singh Nagar. CM Trivendra Singh Rawat gave instructions to officers in this regard on Thursday. On Friday, Secretary Disaster Management Shailesh Bagouli has issued an order in this regard.

In order to avoid the infection of the Corona epidemic, the state government decided to lockdown in four cities on Saturday and Sunday, two days a week on July 17, but in view of Eid and Rakshabandhan this week, decided not to impose lockdown. The entire order states that all the other rules issued earlier regarding the control of the corona epidemic will be strictly enforced.

All the Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Director General of Police, Kumaon and Garhwal Divisional Commissioners, and all the collectors have been asked to take action in this regard. In the Dehradun city, a prisoner died in Suddhowala Jail. The prisoner was brought to the Coronation Hospital on a complaint of chest pain, where doctors declared him dead. Post mortem etc. will be processed only after COVID-19 investigation. The prisoner was in jail for about five years. Due to festivals, there will not be a lockdown of Saturday and Sunday, but we must follow the government guidelines.
