Dehradun: Corona epidemic has affected almost every state of the country. In the meantime, 46 COVID-19 were found infected in Jaspur block on Wednesday in Udham Singh Nagar city. 55 of them are residents of Nai Basti. One person was found COVID-19 positive in Kheda. In view of the increase of COVID-19 infection, the administration has decided to impose lockdown in Jaspur Municipality area from 2 pm to 12 pm on Thursday.

SDM Sundar Singh said in his statement that this decision was taken by meeting ASP Rajesh Bhatt, Additional Chief Medical Officer Avinash Khanna, CMS Dr HK Sharma, CO Manoj Thakur, Kotwal Nanda Ballabh Bhatt. Explaining further, he said that the lockdown will remain in force on the order of the rule issued earlier on Saturday and Sunday. Orders have been given to all departments to supply the necessary items. 45 people have been found to be COVID-19 positive in Nai Basti village of Jaspur development block.

On Wednesday, four policemen were found to be infected patients after a constable found COVID-19 positive at Gadarpur police station. Along with isolating everyone, the people in their contact are being marked. On Wednesday, the investigation of the police staff residing in the police station premises and tests of 54 people of his family done under the supervision of CHC in-charge Dr Sanjeev Sarna. Dr Sarna clarified in his statement that four out of 54 people have been found positive. Lockdown has been implemented again in view of increasing cases.
