Raipur: Two patients, including a pregnant woman infected with coronavirus, were discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Raipur, capital of Chhattisgarh, on Thursday. So far, 36 people infected with the coronavirus have been discharged after treatment, while two patients are being treated.

According to information received from sources, officials of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur said that two patients, including a woman patient of Katghora town in Korba district, were discharged on Thursday morning after confirmation of infection in the second consecutive test report. Officials said that among the patients is a pregnant woman and her brother. He said that the condition of the remaining two patients, including one of the nursing staff of AIIMS Raipur, has remained stable. They are being treated according to ICMR protocol.

It has been learned that another patient has been brought from Surajpur. She has been admitted to a separate ward after coronavirus infection was confirmed in the nursing personnel of AIIMS Raipur. This is the first case of a health worker getting infected with the coronavirus in the state. Katghora town of Korba district of Chhattisgarh remains a hotspot of Coronavirus infection in the state. Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 27 patients from here. However, since 16 April, coronavirus infection has not been confirmed in any person from here. At the same time, 27 people who had an infection have been discharged after treatment.
