Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has taken a major initiative amidst the churning on extending the lockdown from April 14 to prevent the deadly coronavirus infection spreading from China worldwide. Mayawati is currently in support of increasing the lockdown. In this regard, he has also tweeted three on Saturday.

In her statement, Mayawati has said that if the central government wants to extend the lockdown period then she is in support of this decision and our party will welcome the decision of the central government. Mayawati said that this matter is related to public interest and BSP welcomes every decision related to public interest. BSP chief Mayawati has also appealed to the central and state government to take care of the interests of the poor, weaker sections, laborers and farmers etc. and their help.

Apart from this, Mayawati said that the BSP would welcome if the government takes a decision on furthering the lockdown on coronavirus infection in public interest. Mayawati has tweeted three in this regard on Saturday. He wrote, "The 21-day lock down in the country due to the deadly outbreak of the Coronavirus, by thoroughly reviewing it at every level and taking full care of the wider public interest, if the central government decides to take it further If it takes, BSP will welcome it.
