On this matter, sources in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said that in this connection various ministers were entrusted with the responsibility on 26 March. However, the pace of work increased only when Modi held a meeting with his cabinet colleagues on 6 April through video conferencing.

The sources further said that the Union Minister monitors the ground situation throughout the day, collects relevant information and sends a report to the PMO every evening. Many times Modi calls his colleagues verbally to get reports and give them necessary guidelines. The minister also asks BJP workers to cross check whether the government's relief package is reaching the people or not.
