The government has declared several hospitals in the city for corona treatment. The government has also fixed rates for private hospitals. Lakhs of bills are also being charged for the treatment of corona victims in some private hospitals even after the rate is fixed. We have received a bill from the National Hospital in Arera Colony for a patient whose dead body was handed over only after his family paid more than Rs 22 lakh. It has been learnt that Nasimuddin was admitted to National Hospital E-3/61 Arera Colony on April 2 for corona treatment, died on April 21. The hospital handed over the bill of Rs. 22,21,578/- to his family till the bill was paid.
It is also surprising to see this Bill. 10,52,781/- was given to the patient in 20 days, but there is no mention of medicines in the bill. 7,39,200/- has been charged for Severe Critical Life Saving Organ Support while Rs.2,38,600/- has also been charged separately for Ventilator. 1,52,781/- has been charged for investigations. 35,650 to Dr. Vivek Rajoria is mentioned in the Bill. That is, the hospital charged more than 2.2 million for 20 days of treatment for the corona patient, no separate bill of medicines was paid. IAS Masood Akhtar also died in the same National Hospital for whose treatment the dead body was not given for 2 days even after administrative intervention till the bill of Rs 18 lakh was paid.
According to Indore media, The Chief Secretary of Corona, Shri Iqbal Singh Bains also left the hospital midway during treatment and went to another hospital after falling prey to the attitude of the hospital management. Two more IAS Radhe Shyam Julania, faiz kidwai and other officials have also been victims of the hospital's brutal attitude. When this is the attitude of the hospital with the Chief Secretary level officer, what would be the treatment of hospital management with the general public? Even after all this, the silence of the administration is amazing. There are also reports that treatment is not started unless 1-2 lakhs are deposited by the patient for treatment. The epidemic in this hospital seems to have given the hospital management "an opportunity" from a "disaster" in which humanity has completely been destroyed.
There is also the news that no action is taken by the hospital management power and the Government, whereas the government confirms that no action is taken by the Government even after the Government has openly arbitrarily charged more than the rate fixed for covid treatment. According to reports, the hospital belongs to Shri Rajesh Pandey, a resident of Harda. The hospital cannot be named national even on a statutory tor. The national seems to be official. Under the Societies Registration Act, 1973, no NGO is registered in the name of National, India or State for registration. We request the Government to protect the covid patients from the loot of the National Hospital and take necessary action to charge the prescribed rate for treatment of covid in the National Hospital also. The family of late Nasimuddin is also considering taking action in the high court after the lockdown.
