The Cotton University team won the Regional Level Inter-state Online Red Ribbon Quiz Competition (Eastern Zone) on HIV/AIDS.The Cotton University team representing Assam defeated all the teams from the Northeast and West Bengal under the Eastern Zone of the online quiz competition.

National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) has organized the competition through online mode and was held on January 8, 2021. Earlier, the Cotton University team, comprising Plawan Sarma and Raktim Ranjan Baishya, won the State Level Red Ribbon Online Quiz Competition.

The state-level competition was organized by the Assam State AIDS Control Society (ASACS) on November 10, 2020.
After this victory,  The team from Assam will now contest in the national-level online quiz competition that will be held on January 12 on National Youth Day.
