Abu Dhabi: During the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition Conference (ADIPEC) in the United Arab Emirates, energy ministers reaffirmed their commitment to net-zero targets. Bahrain's Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and Chief Executive of the Supreme Council for Environment, Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, stated that Bahrain is committed to providing an efficient and economical energy mix.

"We have established goals for renewable energy as well as energy saving. By 2025, our energy efficiency will have improved by 10 percent, and by 20 percent by 2035 "During a panel discussion bringing nations together to combat climate change, Daina added. Carbon neutrality would not be realised without hydrogen, according to Joao Galamba, Deputy Minister and Secretary of State for Energy in Portugal.

"Green hydrogen and renewables in general have a positive relationship. We have now created the conditions in which hydrogen can no longer be considered a fad; it must now become a reality. Hydrogen overcomes some of the issues with renewables, while renewables enable hydrogen." Aissatou Senegal's Minister of Petroleum and Energies, Sophie Gladima, stated that countries should have simple access to technologies to address climate change.
