Shahjahanpur: The judicial custody of Chinmayanand has been extended by 14 days in the case of sexual assault on former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veteran Swami Chinmayanand. Swami Chinmayanand's next appearance will be on 30 October 2019. Chinmayanand was produced through video conferencing on Wednesday.

A law college student accused Chinmayananda of sexual harassment. Swami Chinmayanand is imprisoned since 20 September 2019. He was produced from prison on Wednesday through video conferencing. 14-day judicial custody of Chinmayananda has been extended by the court. Now Chinmayanand's next appearance will be on 30 October 2019. Chinmayanand's lawyer says that he will appeal for the bail of Swami Chinmayanand to the High Court.
