New Delhi: Former Congress councillor Ishrat Jahan had filed a petition in the High Court for bail in the riots in Delhi earlier this year. But this petition was also rejected by the court. Ishrat had also cited an outbreak of Coronavirus for her bail. On which the High Court said that there is no case of Corona in Mandoli Jail. In such a situation, Ishrat cannot get bail.

It is learned that before this, Ishrat was granted bail in June. Meanwhile, Delhi riots accused Ishrat married the son of a big Congress leader. On which he was granted 10 days bail by the Patiala House Court. After the completion of the marriage ceremony, Ishrat again filed a petition in the Patiala House Court on June 19, seeking extension of bail, which was rejected by the court. Now the Delhi High Court has again shocked Ishrat in the riot case. Because of which Ishrat will have to stay in jail.

Delhi court has granted bail to a student, Gulfisha Fatima, detained under UAPA in a case involving Delhi violence. It has been learned that she was in Tihar Jail in a case related to communal violence in north-east Delhi in February. He was detained on 9 April 2020 on charges of road closure at the Jafrabad demonstration. In the FIR number 48/20, several sections of IPC were imposed on him. He was granted bail on May 13 on this FIR, but after this he was jailed by imposing sections like Arms Act and UAPA.
