Chandigarh: Corona epidemic continues to wreak havoc in the country. Meanwhile, the third phase trial of indigenous vaccine covaxine is about to begin. Haryana's Health Minister Anil Vij has offered himself to get the vaccine voluntarily as part of the Phase III trial of the potential vaccine 'covaxine' for corona virus. He will be given this vaccine on Friday.

Anil Vij, a 67-year-old senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), had said that he would be vaccinated as a test at the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment. This vaccine is being prepared indigenously. Vij had tweeted on Thursday that, `` Under the supervision of a team of doctors and health department of PGI Rohtak, I will be administered a test vaccine of Coronavirus vaccine 'Covaxine' at 11 am tomorrow in the Civil Hospital of Ambala Cantonment.

He said that he had come forward voluntarily to be vaccinated as a trial. Vij Ambala is MLA from Cantonment. He had said on Wednesday that the third phase of 'Covaxin' will be tried in Haryana from November 20. He said that he is ready to put the vaccine on trial first.
