Due to Corona, sports events have also been affected. The country's top wrestler Bajrang Punia has said that the Corona transition has increased the challenges of players who are trying to get tickets for the Tokyo Olympics postponed by one year. This time, Bajrang said that wrestlers like him who have qualified for the Olympics have the same goal.

The top wrestlers in the world include Bajrang (65 kg). Recently, Bajrang has started practising at the Inspire Institute of Sports (IIS) where he is also joined by Jauai coach Emzarios Bentinidis. Bajrang said, "My one clear goal is that I have to perform well in the Olympics. It is more challenging for those who have not yet qualified. I cannot say whether my performance has improved because there is no competition".

He further said that "We all are in lockdown but I did not leave the practice even for a single day. A lot depends on how people are living around you, whether they inspire you or not. There are also good people around me". World Championship medal winner Pooja Dhanda has also said that lack of competition has reduced the spirits of the wrestlers.
