New Delhi: Coronavirus infections are seeing a decline across the country. In fact, during the last 24 hours, 6,809 new cases have been reported, while 7,219 new cases were reported a day earlier. Maharashtra reported 1,272 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths on Saturday. In fact, the total number of infected in the state increased to 81,03,649 and the death toll increased to 1,48,261. On Friday, Maharashtra reported 1,258 COVID-19 cases and six deaths. Of the new cases, 713 are from Mumbai alone, followed by Pune (328), Kolhapur (64), Nagpur (59), Nashik (47), Latur (39), Akola (13) and Aurangabad (nine). Of the four patients who died, three died in the Mumbai circle and one person in the Akola circle.

Delhi reported 236 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday with a positivity rate of 1.68 per cent, while three of them succumbed to the disease during the period.
